The Installation and Me

Much of what I do represents my perspective of comfort, discomfort, and the uncanny. How different situations and objects can be understood as comfortable or perhaps uncomfortable. Memories and experiences can alter our perceptions. For some a simple ride on a boat can be relaxing and enjoyable, yet for others, it can be a nauseous and distressing event.

In this installation a room will be filled with escaping and skittering mice, surely a sight that may make one a bit uncomfortable.  A mouse in itself however, could be considered cute and adorable.  Why else would one of the most beloved cartoon characters be one!

It is this dichotomy of comfort and discomfort that will crawl along the floor and up the walls of Art in House.
